ELIGIBILITY: The Fifth Third Education Lending High School Sweepstakes Giveaway promotion (“Promotion”) is open to all high school seniors who, as of the Drawing Date, have been accepted to an Eligible School and are at least 18 years of age. An Eligible School is a college or university, vocational school, trade school, professional school, or any other educational institution deemed acceptable by Sponsor (“Eligible Participant”). Further, the Promotion is only open to residents of the following ten states: Ohio, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Void where prohibited by law. The Promotion is governed by United States law, and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Employees of Sallie Mae, Inc. ("Sponsor"), Fifth Third Bancorp (the “Bank”) and each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and members of the immediate family or household of each are not eligible.

 

HOW TO ENTER: Eligible participants may enter the Promotion online at web.53educationlending.com/theroad. Alternatively, eligible participants may enter the Promotion by mailing a plain piece of 4" x 6" paper on which you have printed your name, valid email address, complete mailing address, telephone number, and the words "Fifth Third Education Lending High School Sweepstakes Giveaway" in a separate envelope addressed to Fifth Third Education Lending, 11100 USA Parkway, Fishers, Indiana 46037.

 

PRIZES/ODDS: One scholarship of $530.00 will be awarded to the Winner, upon verification of acceptance to an Eligible School, in each of the Bank’s 10 footprint states: Ohio, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and West Virginia. The scholarships will be issued in check form and made payable to the Winners. Approximate total retail value of prize: $5,300.00. ALL EXPENSES, TAXES AND COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ACCEPTANCE AND USE OF ANY PRIZE NOT SET FORTH IN THESE RULES ARE THE OBLIGATION OF THE WINNER. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. No assignment, transfer or substitution of prize is permitted.

 

ENTRY/DRAWING: This Promotion begins on February 5, 2008 and ends at midnight on May 2, 2008 ("Promotion Period"). Limit one entry per person. One entry will randomly be drawn from each of the Bank’s ten footprint states, amounting to ten winners, on May 3, 2008 (“Drawing Date”), or as soon as is commercially reasonable. Winners will be selected from among all eligible entries received.

 

NOTIFICATION OF WINNER: Fifth Third Education Lending will notify the High School of the Winners who will then notify the Winner prior to or during an award ceremony on a date selected by the High School. Sponsor may be reached by e-mail or by phone (317) 578-6840. Sponsor and Bank are not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify the High School of the Winners.

 

GENERAL: By entering, you agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor regarding all aspects of this Promotion which are final and binding. Sponsor is not responsible for errors in any Promotion-related materials. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use winners' names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. By entering, you release and hold harmless Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers and employees and agents from all liability or any injuries of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in this Promotion or acceptance or use of any prize. Sponsor reserves the right to suspend, cancel or modify this Promotion if fraud or any other causes beyond its control affects the integrity or fairness of the Promotion, as determined by Sponsor.
