ELIGIBILITY: The Fifth Third Education Lending Sweepstakes Giveaway promotion (“Promotion”) is open to all postsecondary students, including graduate students, who are enrolled at an Eligible School, and are at least 18 years of age. An Eligible School is a college or university, vocational school, trade school, professional school, or any other educational institution deemed acceptable by Sponsor. Void where prohibited by law. The Promotion is governed by United States law, and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Employees of Sallie Mae, Inc. ("Sponsor"), its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and members of the immediate family or household of each are not eligible.
HOW TO ENTER: Eligible participants may enter the drawing online at http://web.53educationlending.com/53day. Alternatively, you may enter the Promotion by mailing a plain piece of 4" x 6" paper on which you have printed your name, valid email address, complete mailing address, telephone number, the name of your school, and the words "Fifth Third Education Lending Sweepstakes Giveaway" in a separate envelope addressed to Fifth Third Education Lending, Fifth Third Education Lending, 11100 USA Parkway, Fishers, IN 46037, M484.
PRIZES/ODDS: Two scholarships will be awarded each month for a period of six months in the amounts of $500.00 and $300.00 to the Winners upon verification of enrollment at an Eligible School. The scholarships will be issued in check form and made co-payable to the Winners and postsecondary institutions in which the Winners are enrolled. Approximate retail value of prize: $4,800.00. ALL EXPENSES, TAXES AND COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ACCEPTANCE AND USE OF ANY PRIZE NOT SET FORTH IN THESE RULES ARE THE OBLIGATION OF THE WINNER. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. No assignment, transfer or substitution of prize is permitted.
ENTRY/DRAWING: This Promotion begins on May 3, 2007 and ends on December 3, 2007 ("Promotion Period"). Limit one entry per person. Two entries will randomly be drawn on the third day of each month during the Promotion Period (or the first business day following the third day), amounting to twelve winners. Winners will be selected from among all eligible entries received.
NOTIFICATION OF WINNER: The Fifth Third Education Lending Sweepstakes Giveaway Winners will be notified by e-mail, followed by regular mail if necessary. Should the e-mail be returned to Sponsor as invalid, two more attempts will be made via e-mail and one by regular mail. To claim the Fifth Third Education Lending Scholarship, Winners must contact Sponsor within 30 calendar days from the date of the notification sent by Sponsor. Failure to contact Sponsor within that 30 day period will result in immediate disqualification of the selected entrant and a new winner will be selected. No exceptions will be made to this rule. Sponsor may be reached by phone: (800) 222-7192. Sponsor is not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify winner.
GENERAL: By entering, you agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor regarding all aspects of this Promotion which are final and binding. Sponsor is not responsible for errors in any Promotion-related materials. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use winners’ names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. By entering, you release and hold harmless Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers and employees and agents from all liability or any injuries of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in this Promotion or acceptance or use of any prize. Sponsor reserves the right to suspend, cancel or modify this Promotion if fraud or any other causes beyond its control affects the integrity or fairness of the Promotion, as determined by Sponsor.
